Visitors Visa Category
To enter New Zealand as a tourist, to visit family or friends, for business (does not include work), medical reasons or for a short-term study course (which is less than 3 months) a Visitor Visa is required.
Student Parent Visits Category
Parents whose students are studying in New Zealand for a long term can come to visit their children.
Limited Purpose Visitor Visa Category
Limited Purpose Visitor Visa is issued if a person does not meet all the policy requirements for approval of a Visitor Visa.
Students Visa Category
Student Visa is required to study in New Zealand full-time (longer than 3 months.)
For a shorter period only a visitor visa is sufficient.
Working Visa Category
Work Visas for New Zealand are usually issued for a maximum period of 3 years.
The spouse and children who are dependent on Work Visa holders are given Visitor or Student Visas for the same period.
Working Holiday Visas Category
New Zealand provides special Working Holiday programs to young citizens from specific countries which allow them to travel to New Zealand for a period of one year.
